I have challenged myself to prove that I was improving by improving my pace numbers at different distances. This day was a strong performance. Chris and I just set out to get the run completed with no goal in mind. I had a half marathon on my schedule for training. I missed 10 miles the weekend before, since Freya, our new dog, needed attention. So, I was not sure how we would do. A cold start at 31 and warmed up to about 40. We were layered with clothing. Chris ran 7 mi the day before too. So, kudos to him for heading out again today. The run was my second-best half-marathon in quite a while and my 2nd best 10 mile run. I credit this outcome to consistency and being more intentional with my efforts.
